Saw this video today from BoingBoing.net, such a beautiful song. Never heard of him before, but according to Wikipedia, he is regarded as the "Father of Reggae", and a big influence on Bob Marley. I can see why. Thank you Internet. Now if only I can find the guitar chords for this song so I can play it too.

its a long the lines of G D
its a long the lines of G D Em and the C D Em, C D G... then just watch the video and look for the sevens he puts in there.
p.s. joe higgs started it all.........
sweet, thanks for the
sweet, thanks for the pointers. and based on the search stats to this page, looks like i'm not the only one looking for the chords. thanks again =)
thanks!
How are the chords to such a fantastic song so hard to find?
I know I'm a little late on this one, but it seems to me that the chords are:
Verse:
Every day my heart is sore
C D G
Seeing that I'm so poor
C D G
But I will not give up so easily
C D
There's a reward for me
C D Em
There's a reward for me
C D G
And then later on:
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
C D Em
You know no one cares for me
C
I've never known no sympathy
Em
Sometimes I look to this world with a smile
C D Em
Man you hear what I say
Am D
Hope this helps!!

i wish i know what you are
i wish i know what you are talking about there. is it the ending where he's fading out?
arse jiggs is rolling in his
arse jiggs is rolling in his grave
2nd verse: Though I'm
2nd verse:
Though I'm bordered down with shame
There's no one for me to blame
But I shall not give up so easy
There's a reward for me, there's a reward for me
